Nick Kyrgios is set to make his return to tennis ahead of the 2025 season on the ATP Tour.
The 2022 Wimbledon runner-up is set to return to the sport after dealing with several injuries in recent years.
Kyrgios will play at the Brisbane International, a warm-up tournament for the Australian Open, which has a strong line-up headlined by 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic.

Kyrgios last played at the Stuttgart Open back in 2023, before spending the next year and a half recovering from wrist surgery.
Away from the court, Kyrgios has spent time commentating, sharing his thoughts on how his fellow ATP stars are getting on.
Not long now until his return, it has been revealed that he could also be returning to doubles in 2025, alongside a previously retired star.
Jack Sock says he may come out of retirement to play doubles with Nick Kyrgios at the 2025 Miami Open
Jack Sock, a host of the Nothing Major podcast, opportunistically asked Miami Open tournament director James Blake, what his chances of receiving a doubles wildcard in 2025 would be.
“I have a competing player question,” said Sock.
“I think Nick Kyrgios and myself might be asking for a wildcard into doubles of your event here in a few months.
“Would that be something that you’d consider or should I not even [bother].
“I’m trying to put you on the spot right now.”
Former world number four Blake was taken aback by the question but said that it was definitely something that he’d consider.

“You’re getting back on the tennis court?” he asked.
“I can always give the diplomatic answer, it will be considered.
“I’ve made the mistake before of promising something, and then I go back to the powers that be.
“Then they go, maybe you shouldn’t have said that one, we’ve got to think about that, that’s going to cause some problems.”
Blake finished off by taking a slight dig at Sock’s co-host and former Miami Open doubles champion John Isner.

“You guys, I think you’d have a pretty good chance,” he said.
“I think you can sell some tickets, I mean it’s not like [John] Isner and [Hubert] Hurkacz were selling us many, but you guys can sell us some tickets.”
Isner and Hurkacz teamed up to win the Miami Open doubles tournament in 2022.
How good was Jack Sock before he retired from tennis?
Sock retired from tennis in 2023, playing mixed doubles with Coco Gauff at the US Open in his final ever tournament.
Upon retirement, Sock focused on playing Pickleball, one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, where he is currently ranked inside the world’s top ten.
During his time on the ATP Tour, however, Sock enjoyed a lot of success, reaching a career-high of eighth in the world back in 2017.
The 32-year-old began 2017 strongly as he reached the semi-finals of Indian Wells, having already picked up two ATP 250 titles during the early months of the season.
It was in November when things really took off as Sock remarkably won the Paris Masters event, the biggest tournament of his career to date.

With the title in France, Sock qualified for the ATP Finals in London, where he impressed once more, reaching the semi-finals with wins over Marin Cilic and Alexander Zverev before eventually falling to defeat against Grigor Dimitrov.
Whilst his 2017 campaign was proof of what he can do on the singles court, the American enjoyed most of his success in doubles, where he won three Grand Slam titles.
Alongside doubles legend Mike Bryan, Sock reached a career-high of number two in the world in as he proved himself at the highest level.
His doubles prowess proved useful at the Laver Cup, as Sock won nine of his 12 doubles encounters at the tournament.
The most notable of which came in Roger Federer’s final ever tennis match, as he took to the court alongside fellow American Frances Tiafoe.
The pair got the better of Federer and Rafael Nadal in a thriller as they brought the Swiss star’s career to a close.
Sock has spent a lot of time with Team World teammate Nick Kyrgios, most recently winning the Washington Open alongside the Australian in 2022.
The pair may well be hoping to rediscover that form if they are to receive a wildcard to the Miami Open next year.
The 2025 Miami Open will begin on March 16.
