Felix Auger-Aliassime has shared his thoughts on if Carlos Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner will win more hard court titles.
The four-time Grand Slam champion and World number one have established themselves as the two leading players of tennis’ next generation.
They have not only won multiple titles and beaten the world’s best when it matters most, but have established a compelling rivalry which consists of nine entertaining matches so far.
Alcaraz and Sinner have proven they can win on multiple surfaces, and each of them are very dangerous on the concrete, tennis’ most neutral surface.

Both Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have the variety of weapons and athleticism to succeed on hard courts.
This is especially the case for Sinner, who has previously expressed his love for hard courts and being most comfortable on that surface.
Two of his 14 titles have come on hard courts, and he looks primed to win several more, and Auger-Aliassime agrees.
In fact, the Canadian thinks the Italian will claim more hard court titles than Alcaraz. “I feel like Sinner might come out on top,” Auger-Aliassime told the ATP’s YouTube channel.

Auger-Aliassime has two contrasting head-to-head records against Alcaraz and Sinner.
He has played the 2024 Olympic Games silver medalist eight times and won the first three of those meetings across 2021 and 2022.
However, the World number 19 is now on a five-match losing streak against Alcaraz and he has not won a set in each of those encounters.
Auger-Aliassime has only played Sinner on two occasions, but he has yet to taste defeat to the Australian Open champion.
They played twice in 2022 at the Madrid Open and Cincinnati Masters, and they were due to play in the Madrid quarterfinals in 2024, before Sinner withdrew due to injury.
