Amanda Anisimova was stunned by Iga Swiatek in a comprehensive Wimbledon final defeat.

Anisimova was very emotional on Centre Court, after she failed to win a single game against Swiatek.

Despite the one-sided nature of the Wimbledon final, Swiatek revealed her wish for Anisimova in the future after the match.

Swiatek is not the only person showing support to the American, with many others showing support to Anisimova.

Mark Petchey sends message to Amanda Anisimova after Wimbledon final defeat

One of those sending a message to Anisimova is the coach of Emma Raducanu, Mark Petchey.

In a message on X (formerly known as Twitter), Petchey suggested that he wanted Anisimova to focus on the achievement of reaching her first Grand Slam final, not the final result in itself.

“Making the Final of a Grand Slam is a huge achievement on its own,” said Petchey. “Even more so given what Amanda Anisimova has been through.

“Great tournament. Tough end. But it’s actually just the start for her second time around in this hardest of sports.”

What will happen to Amanda Anisimova’s WTA ranking after her Wimbledon run?

It has been a breakout season for Anisimova, who won her first WTA 1000 title in Doha back in February.

She has continued this into the grass court season, with Anisimova beating the likes of Aryna Sabalenka to achieve her best ever Grand Slam result.

This means that Anisimova will now be propelled up from world number 12 to make her top 10 debut.

When the WTA rankings are updated on Monday, July 14, Anisimova will be at a career-high of world number seven.

Even more positive news for Anisimova is that she is also sixth in the race to qualify for the year-end WTA Finals.
