Emma Raducanu made yet another coaching change, following her disappointing Australian Open campaign.
After six months, Raducanu split from Francisco Roig, Rafael Nadal’s former coach.
The Brit has grown a reputation for discarding coaches, and her latest move hasn’t helped.

Do you think this is a possibility?
But who will coach Raducanu now?
During this year’s Transylvania Open, Raducanu shared who will join her on the WTA Tour for the foreseeable future.
Emma Raducanu says LTA’s Alexis Canter will coach her
In an interview with the ‘Tennis Channel‘, Raducanu was asked for a coaching update.
“Right now, I’m here with Alexis [Canter]. He’s been helping me over the past two years,” she said.

“Whenever I’m back at base and doing the odd week on the road. He’s someone who understands me as a player, understands me as a person.
“He plays really good as well himself, so that helps.
“He knows how it feels from a player’s perspective.”
Raducanu has already enjoyed success with Canter in her corner, reaching the semifinals of the singles and doubles events at the Washington Open last year.

“I feel like so far it’s worked really well,” she said.
“I had him in [Washington] DC, too.

Emma Raducanu reaches first WTA final since the 2021 US Open
The British number one entered the Transylvania Open as the top seed, looking to claim her second career title.
She’s now a win away from doing just that, having qualified for the final in Cluj-Napoca.

| Round | Opponent | Score | Match length |
| 1R | Greet Minnen | 6-0, 6-4 | 1hr, 10 |
| 2R | Kaja Juvan | 7-5, 6-1 | 1hr, 37 |

Her semifinal win was by far her toughest of the week, as Raducanu defeated Oleksandra Oliynykova in a near-three-hour thriller.

The Brit looked in real trouble during the third set, trailing by a break, but fought back brilliantly to secure her spot in Saturday’s final.
There, she will meet the home favorite, Sorana Cirstea, who beat Daria Snigur in the other semifinal.
Cirstea and Raducanu have met once before, at Wimbledon in 2021.
Which WTA player would benefit the most from playing best-of-five sets?
On that occasion, it was Raducanu who had the home fans on side, picking up the win in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5.
Whether she can repeat the feat on Romanian soil remains to be seen.
Cirstea is well aware of how tough the match will be, sharing her thoughts on court.
“I think it’s going to be a great match, probably the dream final for this tournament,” she said.
“I’m very, very happy; this tournament deserves the best. It’s going to be a very tough match, but I’m going to enjoy it.
“I worked hard to be here, so tomorrow I’m just going to enjoy it and play with a smile on my face.”
Raducanu will play Cirstea in the 2026 Transylvania Open final on Saturday, February 7.
