Emma Raducanu achieved some promising results in 2024 despite struggling with injury throughout.

Raducanu returned to the WTA top 100 in 2024 and is currently ranked 58th in the world.

The Brit achieved her best Grand Slam result since winning the 2021 US Open this year, as Raducanu reached the fourth round of Wimbledon, losing to Lulu Sun in three sets.

The 22-year-old backed up her Wimbledon performance, as Raducanu reached the quarter-finals of the Citi Open in Washington later in the year.

Raducanu then lost in the US Open first round, a disappointing result that once again had fans questioning her ability.

Things were looking up in Asia before Raducanu sustained a foot injury in her Korea Open quarter-final matchup with Daria Kasatinka.

She has been out of action ever since but is gearing up for a big return at the end of 2024 before she embarks on her 2025 campaign.

Emma Raducanu is ‘looking forward’ to her 2025 WTA season

Speaking ahead of the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Malaga, Raducanu shared her goals for next year after reflecting on a tough 2024 season.

“My goal next year is to stay on court longer,” she said.

“This year I got to top 60 in the world but I barely played less than 16 events.

“I know if I am on court and healthy and competing I can go even higher and further.”

The former British number one then spoke about how she thinks her fitness can improve in 2025.

“I think my athleticism is a strength of mine but it’s nowhere near its full potential and I am just looking forward to exploring that further,” said Raducanu.

Rumors have been circling of Raducanu’s plan to hire a new fitness coach, Yutaka Nakamura, who worked with former world number one Maria Sharapova for eight years.

Raducanu gave a very vague response to the news.

“We are having discussions and we will see,” she said.

“I am looking forward to 2025 regardless.”

Can Emma Raducanu win the Billie Jean King Cup with Great Britain?

Raducanu’s first and only title of her career to date was her fairy tale run to the 2021 US Open trophy as a teenager.

She will have the opportunity to double her tally at the Billie Jean King Cup, alongside fellow British stars Harriet Dart and Katie Boulter.

Great Britain will begin their campaign against Germany with a quarter-final spot against defending champions Canada up for grabs.

Canada won the 2023 edition of the Billie Jean King Cup beating Italy 2-0 in the final.

Great Britain will be looking to take home the trophy for the first time in the nations history in 2024, but will face some tough opposition on their way to a potential title.

Great Britain will begin their Billie Jean King Cup tie against Germany on Friday.
