Coco Gauff is on cloud nine under new coach Matt Daly after beating Karolina Muchova to win the China Open.
Gauff was expecting a tough match against Muchova, but the American needed just over one hour to beat her Czech opponent.
She came straight from her disappointing US Open run, where she lost out in the round of 16 to Emma Navarro.
But Gauff turned her fortunes around at the China Open, helped by Daly after she decided to part ways with Brad Gilbert.
Gauff praised Muchova after their final in Beijing, where the former beat the US Open semi-finalist 6-1, 6-3.

Gauff will be delighted with her early success under Daly, having struggled to find form in 2024 under Gilbert.

There was also Olympic disappointment, although the American star did make the semi-finals of the Australian Open and French Open.
