Taylor Fritz continued his fantastic history at Eastbourne by successfully defending his title at the grass court tournament.
Fritz has had his schedule questioned, having decided to take on Eastbourne once more shortly before heading to Wimbledon.
Sam Querrey liked seeing Fritz play Eastbourne, a tournament the latter won in 2019, 2022, 2024 and now 2025.
Fritz is now a 10-time winner on the ATP Tour, with his focus now switching to Wimbledon, the next Grand Slam in the calendar.
And the world number five has been drawn to face Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the first round at the All England Club.

Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula react to Taylor Fritz winning in Eastbourne
He has, however, first taken time to celebrate his latest success, with Fritz writing on Instagram: “The Eastbourne merchant strikes again. Make that 10 ATP Tour titles… half on grass.”
And his compatriots Coco Gauff and Querrey were quick to celebrate that success with him, each commenting on his post.
WTA number two Gauff wrote: “Congrats” as former player Querrey wrote: “He’s back!!”, while another WTA player Jessica Pegula shared his success on her Instagram story with the caption: “[Crown] of Eastbourne”.
Taylor Fritz equals Pete Sampras record with Eastbourne win
Fritz clearly has a strong connection with the ATP 250 grass-court event, where he has just enjoyed a record-extending title win.
He is now behind only 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic for active players with the most grass court titles, with the Serbian on eight.
Fritz needed 88 minutes to defeat Jenson Brooksby in the final at Eastbourne, in which he secured a 7-5, 6-1 triumph.
And the victory has broader significance, with Fritz becoming only the second American to win multiple ATP titles on grass in a season.
That is since the inaugural ATP season in 1990, with the world number five following in the footsteps of legendary figure Pete Sampras, as per OptaAce.
He achieved the feat in 1995 and 1999, and has now been followed by Fritz, who also emerged victorious at this season’s Boss Open in Stuttgart.
It’s been a roller-coaster time for the American of late, beginning with a first round exit at the French Open at the end of May.
That was followed by the success in Stuttgart, with the 27-year-old suffering another opening defeat at Queen’s before winning in Eastbourne.
