Carlos Alcaraz was undoubtedly the star man as Team Europe got back to winning ways in the Laver Cup in Berlin.
Alcaraz scored a record-breaking eight points on his Laver Cup debut as his side defeated Team World 13-11 at the Uber Arena.
It was a winning send-off for Team Europe captain Bjorn Borg, who once again got the better of Team World captain John McEnroe.
Roger Federer gave Borg and McEnroe watches as a parting gift, with the pair now stepping down from their roles.
They will be replaced by Yannick Noah and Andre Agassi respectively for the 2025 Laver Cup in San Francisco.

Casper Ruud messages Carlos Alcaraz after Team Europe win Laver Cup
In Berlin, however, Alcaraz dominated proceedings, with the Spaniard winning over half of his team’s overall points.
He has since taken to X to celebrate the success, with his Team Europe teammate Casper Ruud quick to comment on the post with the message: “Thanks for saving us bro.”
Casper Ruud and Carlos Alcaraz combine to clinch Laver Cup for Team Europe
Ruud certainly played his part in the success, with the Norwegian recovering after a poor start to his tournament.
He lost the very first match of the event to Francisco Cerundolo, before suffering a day two doubles defeat to Alejandro Tabilo and Ben Shelton while playing alongside Stefanos Tsitsipas.
But a hugely important third day doubles victory was secured, with Ruud partnering with Alcaraz to beat Shelton and Frances Tiafoe.
The Spaniard then overcame Taylor Fritz in the final match of the tournament to earn three points for Team Europe and subsequently the prestigious trophy.
Borg now bows out from his captaincy on a major high, having lost the previous two Laver Cups to McEnroe’s Team World.
While it was a competition debut for Alcaraz, Ruud has now represented Team Europe in the last four editions, with a 2-2 win-loss record to his name.
