Jannik Sinner has been the undisputed ATP Tour number one since last summer, although he could lose that ranking amid his three-month ban.
Andy Roddick says the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) approached Sinner for a deal, resulting in a suspension until May 4.
Sinner has the support of Jack Draper, although the likes of Nick Kyrgios and Stan Wawrinka have opted for the opposite approach.
The Sinner case has divided the tennis world, with the world number one not missing any Grand Slam tournaments during his ban.
Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz will both be eyeing the ranking in the near future, with the pair in second and third respectively at this moment in time.

Casper Ruud tips Arthur Fils and Jakub Mensik to reach world number one
There are, however, a handful of other players who may just be capable of reaching the summit of men’s tennis in the not-too-distant future.
That was an issue posed to a handful of star players on the UTS Tour, having been asked who will be the future world number one, except for Sinner and Alcaraz.
ATP number five Casper Ruud replied: “I think Arthur Fils has a chance. He’s a really, really good player. And I think also [Jakub] Mensik. I played both of them and I was really impressed.”
Veteran Richard Gasquet responded: [Joao] Fonseca. He’s very powerful, he is very talented, and he hits the ball very hard. So for me he will win many Grand Slams.”
And another experienced star in David Goffin said: “Joao Fonseca. He has everything to be there in the top 10, and why not a little bit higher?”
Holger Rune backed to challenge Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz for top spot
Aged just 18, Fonseca has stormed to 68th in the ATP rankings, having just won his first title at the Argentina Open.
Mensik, aged 19, meanwhile already finds himself in 45th, while 20-year-old Fils is currently all the way up in 19th place.
Fellow youngster Flavio Cobolli was also asked for his verdict, with the Italian saying: “I’m also the new generation. Mensik and Fonseca.”
Tomas Machac meanwhile responded: “I think Fonseca is playing very good. I think he can be number one.”
| Ranking | Player | Age |
| 1 | Jannik Sinner | 23 |
| 3 | Carlos Alcaraz | 21 |
| 12 | Holger Rune | 21 |
| 19 | Arthur Fils | 20 |
| 45 | Jakub Mensik | 19 |
| 68 | Joao Fonseca | 18 |
And both Adrian Mannarino and Fabio Fognini were in agreement, with the former saying: “Maybe Holger [Rune]. He definitely has the potential to be higher.”
The latter meanwhile commented: “Rune. Because he’s there, he’s improving, he was three, four, five in the world and [behind Sinner and Alcaraz] he’s the first one who has a chance.”
