Carlos Alcaraz has reached the third round of the French Open after battling past Fabian Marozsan in round one.
Steve Johnson thinks Alcaraz will win the French Open, with Madison Keys backing Jannik Sinner for French Open success.
The ATP Tour duo only just met in the final of the Italian Open, where Alcaraz overcame home favourite Sinner 7-6(7-5), 6-1.
Alcaraz began his French Open title defence with a 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 win over Giulio Zeppieri, after his initial opponent Kei Nishikori withdrew from the event.
The Spaniard won his third ATP title of the season in Rome, following his successes in Rotterdam and Monte Carlo.

Carlos Alcaraz names his best surface after reaching French Open third round
His Italian Open and Monte Carlo wins represent two ATP Masters 1000 titles on clay, with Rotterdam having been played on hard courts.
Asked on Bleacher Report if he thinks clay is his best surface following his latest victory, he replied: “I could say that right now.
“I always say that probably I am more comfortable playing on hard court. But I think right now I can’t say [that] any more.
“I grew up playing on a clay court, so right now, I feel happy and I just want to play on clay. So right now I am going to say that clay court is my surface.”
On which surfaces has Carlos Alcaraz won his 19 ATP titles?
Alcaraz is the second seed at the French Open, where he is currently seeking a fifth career Grand Slam title.
The 22-year-old has remarkably already clinched major wins on all three surfaces, all arriving in the space of just two years.
Alcaraz won his maiden Grand Slam title on the hard courts of the US Open in 2022, with grass wins coming at Wimbledon in 2023 and 2024.
He also emerged victorious on clay at the French Open last year, defeating German Alexander Zverev in a five-set thriller.
But a tricky task is up next for the 19-time ATP champion, with Damir Dzumhur awaiting in the third round.
The Bosnian has already both caused an upset and played the role of the villain this year, knocking out Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.

A total of 10 of his 19 titles have arrived on clay, with six coming on hard courts and the other three coming on grass.
