Carlos Alcaraz has been explaining how he will feel if he draws Rafael Nadal at the French Open in the summer.
The Spaniard who has won 14 titles at Roland Garros will hope to be fit to make one final appearance at the venue he’s called home.
Nadal has suffered with a number of injury problems in recent years and even now, he’s hinted that he’s not fully fit right now.
If Nadal does feel comfortable playing at the French Open he will enter the tournament unseeded and that would be bad news for a top player.
It would open the door for Nadal to potentially draw a giant in the opening round – and that includes Alvarez.
Now, he’s been explaining how he would feel if he had to go head-to-head with Nadal in the first round of a tournament he holds in such high regard.

How Carlos Alcaraz would feel playing Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros
Well, this really would be a dream draw for anyone who might have got tickets for Roland Garros.
Alcaraz playing Nadal really would be something special and now the talented youngster has explained how he would feel if that draw became a reality.
He told Marca: “Well, it is one of the most difficult challenges in tennis. It would be exciting and special.
“If I face him at Roland Garros I will enjoy it because it will be something unique.”
Nadal has won 22 majors in total with 14 of them coming on the clay at the French Open.
It’s been far and away his best tournament and surely no top player will want to face the 37-year-old at the first round stage.
Alcaraz against Nadal would be truly special at Roland Garros
Well, this would be epic!
Alcaraz might not want it though for more than the reason that Nadal is class and a master on the clay.
No top player will likely fancy this particular draw given that it’s likely to be his last and who wants that on the resume?
It will be a sad day when Nadal can no longer play tennis and to some degree, Roland Garros just won’t be the same ever again.
Alcaraz will have the desire to win all four majors on a number of occasions and he will want to take Nadal’s throne on clay.
However, playing him at the French Open – as good as it would be for the spectators – could be a nightmare for Alcaraz.
It would give him a tougher match than he would want for the first round of a major and surely every top player will want to avoid Nadal if they can.
