Serena Williams may have retired from tennis in 2022, but she remains a global icon, and has now caught the eye at Super Bowl LIX.
Coco Gauff loved watching Williams dance at Super Bowl LIX, with the tennis legend having been involved in Kendrick Lamar’s half-time show.
The Philadelphia Eagles eased past defending champions the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans to secure the trophy.
The huge sporting fixture came just after Carlos Alcaraz won the Rotterdam Open, with the Spaniard having beaten Alex de Minaur in an entertaining final.
Rafael Nadal has congratulated Alcaraz on his latest success, with the latter having seemingly tuned in to Super Bowl LIX later that evening.

He is among the tennis stars to have loved the half-time dancing of the legendary Williams, with Alcaraz sharing her video on his Instagram story with the words: “Just epic.”
Novak Djokovic did the same, writing on his Instagram story: “Yeahhhhh,” while her sister Venus Williams reacted on X with the message: “You did that!!!”
The reactions continued with the US Open writing on X: “We saw you,” while former WTA star Rennae Stubbs wrote on her Instagram story: “Omg.”

Williams provided plenty of social media updates throughout the evening in New Orleans, with behind-the-scenes footage and indeed a question to her followers about which team she should be supporting.
And there was also support for Taylor Swift, with the singer having been booed by some people within Caesars Superdome when she appeared on the jumbotron.

Swift, who was watching her boyfriend Travis Kelce play for the Chiefs, received a message from Williams on X that read: “I love you Taylor Swift, don’t listen to those boo!!”
Williams has once more stolen the hearts of the tennis world, with the American having done the same on the court for several years.
She won 23 Grand Slam titles during her phenomenal career before deciding to hang up her racket in September 2022.
