The Super Bowl is one of the world’s most-watched sporting events so throw Serena Williams into the mix as well and you have a situation that simply oozes box office content.

The Kansas City Chiefs were looking to make it three wins in succession at last night’s Super Bowl. However, they were thwarted in their attempts by the Philadelphia Eagles who ran out 40-22 victors inside the Caesars Superdome.

Serena Williams is the greatest ever player to swing a racket on the female side of things. The younger of two Williams sisters won a massive 23 Grand Slam titles and was the most feared player on the planet for many years.

Coco Gauff has been told what she must do in order to emulate Williams. The youngster has often been predicted as one player who could be the heir to her throne and does have a Grand Slam to her name.

Coco Gauff reacts as Serena Williams appears during Super Bowl half-time show

It was an iconic moment that had tennis fans across the globe screaming in amazement at their television sets. As Kendrick Lemar took centre stage during the half-time show up popped Serena and boy did she have some moves!

Williams was producing a dance called the crip walk as part of the half-time show in a move that left several people associated with tennis aghast at just what they were witnessing.

For so long, tennis fans have been accustomed to seeing Serena being the consummate professional and becoming a master of her trade across the globe as one of the game’s top stars.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about Serena though. It was great to see her enjoying herself off the cuff and dancing around the stage without a care in the world.

Gauff was impressed and took to X to post her amazement at what Serena was up to at the Super Bowl. She said: “Serena is the GOAT! Icon doing iconic things.”

Andy Roddick managed to win a US Open title during his career. He was also left stunned by what he witnessed as Serena danced around to Lemar’s hit single Not Like Us.

He posted: “SERENAAAAAAAAA”

Serena Williams will never be toppled as the game’s greatest-ever

Although Gauff has the potential to win several major Grand Slam titles, it seems very unlikely that she will reach the 23 that Williams managed to lay claim to during her career.

That isn’t necessarily down to Gauff’s ability either. However, the female game is so competitive now that it’s hard to imagine many players getting close to the 23 that Williams managed.

What Serena managed to achieve on a regular basis is frankly ridiculous. She was tested on occasions during her career but ultimately, she dominated year upon year on the WTA Tour.

Gauff clearly gets inspired by Williams. It’s great that she has someone to look up to and as she develops she will hope to start picking up more of the game’s biggest prizes.
