Carlos Alcaraz is a champion on the ATP Tour once again, having just beaten Jiri Lehecka in the final of Queen’s.
Winning Queen’s meant a lot to Alcaraz, who also won the tournament in 2023 before going on to triumph at Wimbledon.
Spanish star Alcaraz also won Wimbledon the following year, and is now chasing a third successive title at the grass court Grand Slam.
He heads into the tournament second in the world rankings and as a five-time ATP Tour champion in 2025.
Moreover, Alcaraz clinched his 250th ATP Tour win at Queen’s, which arrived in his semi-final victory over Roberto Bautista Agut.

Alcaraz responded: “Probably Matteo Berrettini. I think we have a lot of things in common. I think he could be a great partner for those 250 days.”

Alcaraz and Berrettini certainly know each other well, having now met a total of four times on the ATP Tour.
Their last meeting, however, arrived all the way back at Wimbledon in 2023, with the Italian having not been fully fit at times over recent years.
Berrettini reached his only Grand Slam final at the event in 2021, losing 6–7(4–7), 6–4, 6–4, 6–3 to Novak Djokovic.
The Serbian then defeated Nick Kyrgios the following year for a fourth Wimbledon title and seventh overall.

But that run was ended by Alcaraz, who has now defeated the veteran in the last two finals at the All England Club.
Aged just 22, the Spaniard has now won all five of his Grand Slam finals, the latest of which arrived at the French Open earlier this month.
