Carlos Alcaraz has rapidly become the man to beat in tennis, with the Spanish star having just won another Wimbledon title.
In a rematch of the 2023 final at the All England Club, the 21-year-old overcame seven-time winner Novak Djokovic.
The Serbian was once again aiming to equal Roger Federer’s tally of eight Wimbledon titles, having narrowly failed to do so last time out.
But he would have taken another five-set thriller this time around, as opposed to being beaten in straight sets at SW19.
Alcaraz held nothing back on the iconic Centre Court, easing past the 37-year-old veteran 6-2, 6-2, 7-6(7-4).

The four-time Grand Slam champion was full of energy and enthusiasm throughout the match, unlike his opponent, with Marion Bartoli noticing a ‘really weird’ lack of emotion from Djokovic.
Alcaraz has now settled his head-to-head rivalry with Djokovic, with the duo now on three wins each from their six meetings.
But the former was quick to discuss another rivalry immediately after winning Wimbledon, with Alcaraz singling out world number one Jannik Sinner.
“I think it is good for tennis to have new faces winning the big things and fighting for the big tournaments,” Alcaraz said in his final Wimbledon press conference.
“I’m really glad to have him there. We have a really good rivalry and young players are coming up, fighting for big things as well, I think it’s really good for the sport and for the players as well.”

Sinner has been in the spotlight this year thanks to his efforts on the court, with the Italian winning his first Grand Slam at the Australian Open.
He followed that up by losing to Alcaraz in the French Open final, although the world number one ranking did go Sinner’s way during Roland Garros.
The pair were denied a reunion at Wimbledon after the Italian lost his quarter-final clash with Daniil Medvedev, who Alcaraz then beat in the semi-finals.
But a rivalry between the Spaniard and the Italian is brewing, with the former currently in charge with five wins compared to the latter’s four.
There are now a select group of players who are clear from the rest in men’s tennis, with Andy Roddick believing that Medvedev belongs in the same class as Djokovic, Alcaraz and Sinner.
