Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will go face-to-face once again on the ATP Tour when they meet in the Cincinnati Open final.
Alcaraz deserves huge credit amid his superb run in Cincinnati, having reached a seventh consecutive final on the ATP Tour.
But it was Sinner who won their last meeting, emerging victorious in his Wimbledon final battle with Alcaraz last month.
Sinner is hoping for a high-quality match with Alcaraz, which represents their 14th meeting on the ATP Tour.
Tennis fans aren’t happy with the Cincinnati Open final time, but both finalists will not be focusing on that issue as they search for further silverware this season.

What Carlos Alcaraz finds ‘crazy’ about Jannik Sinner before their Cincinnati Open final
Alcaraz already has five titles to his name in 2025, with Sinner on two, but the Spaniard is fully aware of the task that lies ahead.
Asked what makes Sinner so unique as a player ahead of their Cincinnati Open final, Alcaraz said: “The ability of not having any weaknesses.
“It is crazy the way he always plays at his best. It seems like that you have to earn every point and every game.
“He makes you suffer from the first point of the match until the last ball. He is there mentally point after point and not having ups and downs during the match. It makes him really, really special.
“The way he moves and the way he hits the ball, it is amazing. So it’s really tough to find holes in his game. That makes him really special.
“He plays aggressively, he defends really well. [He can go] from defence to attack in just one shot, he is unbelievable. He returns well and serves well.
“But I do as well. I am telling you really good things about Jannik, about everything that makes him really, really special.”
What happened at the 2024 Cincinnati Open as Jannik Sinner looks to defend his title?
While Alcaraz leads Sinner for ATP titles in 2025, it was the latter who topped that list in the 2024 season.
The Spanish ace clinched four titles as the Italian star secured eight, one of which arrived at the Cincinnati Open.

He ended the run of home favourite Frances Tiafoe in the final this time last year, defeating the American 7-6(7-4), 6-2.
It represented a third ATP Masters 1000 title and 15th ATP title for Sinner, who was the top seed at the event.
He overcame Alex Michelsen, Jordan Thomson, Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev before his final win over Tiafoe.
Second seed Alcaraz meanwhile suffered a shock early exit in Cincinnati in 2024, falling to Gael Monfils in his opening match.
