Rafael Nadal will finally bow out from tennis after the Davis Cup Finals, which are taking place in Malaga this week.
The Davis Cup Finals venue has paid tribute to Nadal ahead of his retirement, with the Spanish star set to be massively missed by all in and out of the sport.
Nadal will hang up his racket as a 22-time Grand Slam champion, including a record 14 French Open titles.
Roger Federer has messaged Nadal ahead of his final event, with the former two Grand Slam titles behind the latter in the all-time list.
And looking to climb that list are the likes of current stars Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, who shared the major titles this season.

The Italian won the Australian Open and US Open, with the Spaniard successful at the French Open and Wimbledon.
They have now shared their thoughts on Nadal, having been asked by Tennis Channel the first thing that comes their mind when they hear the legendary figure’s first name.
Alcaraz replied: “Fighter, or bull, probably those things. Or boat. Boat, fishing, something like that,” with Sinner responding: “Fighting spirit.”

Their fellow ATP Finals players were also tasked with the challenge, with Daniil Medvedev also in agreement, saying: “Fighter.”
Taylor Fritz jokingly responded “Nadal,” when asked what he thinks when he hears “Rafa,” with Andrey Rublev and Alex de Minaur saying “King, I don’t know,” and “King of Clay” respectively.

Alexander Zverev opted for the word “bicep,” with Casper Ruud replying “Roland Garros. Winning Roland Garros.”

Nadal boasts a stunning 92 ATP Tour-level titles from his phenomenal career, during which he has garnered the respect of his opponents.
Injuries have certainly negatively impacted the latter stages of his time on the court, but he will be desperate to go out on a high with Spain at the Davis Cup Finals.
