Ben Shelton has been among the busier players following the conclusion of the 2025 ATP Tour season.
After finishing ninth in the ATP year-end rankings, Shelton just took part in the Atlanta Cup alongside Nick Kyrgios, Aryna Sabalenka and Naomi Osaka.
That came after a successful campaign for the American, who claimed one title at the ATP Masters 1000 Canada.
Shelton reminisced about his “crazy” career so far during his recent outing, with plenty more to come from the 23-year-old.

Ben Shelton praises ‘best player in the world’ Aryna Sabalenka
However, a spectator role is now on the cards for Shelton for the upcoming exhibition between Kyrgios and Sabalenka.
Discussing their Battle of the Sexes match later this month, he told Front Office Sports: “I was with both of them last weekend and it’s going to be tough for him.
“You know, he has a court that I think is, I think, 9% smaller. He only has one serve, she has two. And obviously, she’s the best player in the world right now. She’s very strong from the baseline.
“You’re taking away the weapon of his first serve. So I think it’s going to be an interesting match. It’s definitely something I would tune into.”

Along with criticism for Kyrgios’ match against Sabalenka, there is undoubtedly plenty of excitement among fans.
And much of that stems from the unknown around exactly what will happen when the two superstars meet.
Sabalenka is the number one player on the WTA Tour, while Kyrgios is ranked 672nd on the ATP Tour, having once climbed to 13th.

Moreover, he’s reached one Grand Slam final in his career, losing to Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon, while Sabalenka boasts four such titles.
And the rules of the best-of-three set match have also created intrigue, especially that of Sabalenka’s side of the court being 9% smaller.
The encounter, which is a repeat of the meeting between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs from 1973, will go to a 10-point tie-breaker should it be required.
