Day 12 of the 2025 Australian Open brings about the women’s singles semi-finals, so here is all you need to know as Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek headline the action.

The WTA Tour world No1 and No2 both remain in the Australian Open entering the final four at Melbourne Park. Sabalenka is cruising through the tournament in the 26-year-old’s bid for a third straight Australian Open title, while Swiatek is chasing the 23-year-old’s first this year.

Sabalenka beat Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 in their quarter-final tie marking the first time that the Belarusian had dropped a set all tournament. Meanwhile, Swiatek saw off Emma Navarro 6-1, 6-2 to continue her 100% sets won record through five matches so far.

The tournament tree for the 2025 Australian Open has not been as kind to Swiatek as it has been for Sabalenka, though, with the Pole now playing on back-to-back days with a place in the women’s singles final on the line this Thursday against WTA world No14 Madison Keys.

WTA world No12 Paula Badosa stands in Sabalenka’s way of another Australian Open final in 2025. The two women’s semi-final ties headline the action on day 12 at Melbourne Park at the Rod Laver Arena following the conclusion of the two men’s doubles semi-final matches.
