Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek and Jasmine Paolini have all moved on from the Australian Open, with their focus now on the Qatar Open.

Sabalenka and Swiatek can continue their rivalry this month, having been kept apart at the first Grand Slam of the year in Melbourne.

Madison Keys beat Sabalenka and Swiatek en route to the Australian Open title, edging past the Belarusian in the final after a semi-final win over the Pole.

Paolini meanwhile suffered a disappointing third round loss to Elina Svitolina, having been the fourth seed.

Sabalenka was the top seed and Swiatek was the second, but both suffered shock defeats to 19th seed Keys.

Elena Rybakina beats Iga Swiatek en route to 2024 Stuttgart title

Current world number seven Elena Rybakina emerged victorious at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix last time out, beating Marta Kostyuk in the final.

The former won 6-2, 6-2 in one hour and nine minutes to clinch the title, having beaten top seed Swiatek in the semi-final.

Second seed Sabalenka meanwhile fell in the quarter-finals to Marketa Vondrousova, with Rybakina beating Paolini at the same stage.

There were also quarter-final defeats for Coco Gauff and Emma Raducanu, who lost to Kostyuk and Swiatek respectively.

Plenty of important tournaments are, however, up first in the schedule for many WTA stars before the clay season gets underway.

A long list of hard court events are coming thick and fast, including the small matter of back-to-back WTA 1000 tournaments at Indian Wells and Miami.
