The Paris Masters will be without another top 20 player after they withdrew from the tournament.

The final Masters 1000 event of the season is set to commence on Monday October 28, and the likes of Novak Djokovic will not be present on French capital.

Following a run to the Shanghai Masters final, the Serbian was due to play in the French capital, but he has since pulled out.

This has thrown his chances of qualifying for the ATP Finals in jeopardy. But there is one other whose injury woes kept him from competing at the Paris Masters and they have been replaced by Matteo Berrettini.

Who will not be playing in the Paris Masters along with Novak Djokovic?

Another player who has joined Djokovic in not playing at the Paris Masters is Sebastian Korda.

The American, who is ranked 19th in the world, was in the draw but has since been replaced by Berrettini, who has had injury issues of his own this season.

The Italian is into the Vienna Open quarter-finals, where he will take on Karen Khachanov for a spot in the last four.

In Paris, the 2021 Wimbledon Championships runner-up will aim to win his first Masters 2000 title and fourth title of 2024, after a hat-trick of championships on clay.

When does Seb Korda expect to return to full fitness?

On October 11, Korda announced he underwent elbow surgery, and he is still making a return to full fitness.

Despite an injury-interrupted season, Korda still managed to win the Citi Open title in Washington. He came from a set down to defeat Flavio Cobolli in the final.

Korda took to Instagram to post a picture with a cast on post surgery, and updated fans on his procedure and when he hopes to be back on court.

“Hi everyone, I wanted to update you all. I’ve been dealing with some elbow issues and my team and I decided surgery was the best option,” he wrote.

“Everything went great, and I can’t wait to be back on court soon. Thanks for all your support!”
