Seb Korda’s colleagues showed their support after he underwent elbow surgery.

The 24-year-old worked his way back into the top 20 after claiming the Citi Open title and reaching the Canadian Open semi-finals over the summer.

The American has not played since the US Open where he was beaten by Tomas Machac in the second round.

But now Korda, a former Australian Open quarter-finalist, has chosen to shut down his season to sort out his injury issues.

Which players sent Seb Korda well-wishes after his surgery?

Seb Korda took to Instagram to post a picture with his cast on after his operation.

He wrote alongside the photo: “Hi everyone, I wanted to update you all. I’ve been dealing with some elbow issues and my team and I decided surgery was the best option.

“Everything went great, and I can’t wait to be back on court soon. Thanks for all your support!”

Two of his fellow tennis players Felix Auger-Aliassime and former US Open winner Sloane Stephens took to the comments to post their well-wishes.

“Speedy recovery!,” Stephens said, while Auger-Aliassime added: “Get well soon Sebi.”

What was Seb Korda’s 2024 record?

Korda played 50 matches in the 2024 season before ending his campaign due to injury.

He won 31 of those matches and suffered 19 defeats, the most recent of which came at Flushing Meadows in front of his home crowd at the US Open.

In addition to a strong North American hard court swing, Korda also produced some solid results on the grass.

He reached the semi-finals of Queen’s where he lost to eventual champion Tommy Paul, and he was the runner-up at the Berlin Open, a tournament that was won by Alex de Minaur.
