The Spaniard is blazing his own trail in tennis with a game style and personality that attracts thousands of fans to the game.
The World number two is a leading player in the new era of men’s tennis and he looks set to achieve more greatness in the game.
Another reason why Carlos Alcaraz is beloved in the tennis world is the honesty he displays in his interviews, something Andy Roddick is very impressed by.

Andy Roddick loves what Carlos Alcaraz is doing that did not happen in tennis before
Alcaraz has done many things on court that have left fans with their jaws on the floor.
The 21-year-old’s artistry, power and athleticism make for an exciting game that fans flock to watch all over the world.
But off the court Alcaraz does something that Roddick is a fan of, which is providing a very candid and honest assessment of his matches.
“Alcaraz talks about it last week and I don’t know if I have ever seen someone so young be so honest about everything,” Roddick said via his ‘Served’ podcast.
“He loses in Indian Wells and was like I was nervous all day and I don’t know why. He doesn’t hide it. I don’t think he does this 10 years ago.
“I think he’s the first one we are seeing of the generation where it’s not taboo or you’re not 29 and it’s like I’m an adult, I can talk about what I want to talk about and hopefully it will help someone.
“He seems like the first person who actually talks about it in real time and doesn’t actually care enough and/or the world is a more comfortable place to say these things into.”

Carlos Alcaraz is ready to get back to winning ways in Madrid
Alcaraz had little time to rest after losing the Barcelona Open final on Sunday.
He has travelled to the Spanish capital to compete in the Madrid Open, a title he won back in 2022 which included back-to-back over Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
There were some fitness issues surrounding him following the Barcelona Open where Alcaraz was given treatment on his right leg.
But Alcaraz has declared that he is fit to play in the Masters 1000 event and he is set to commence his campaign on home soil on Friday.
