Andy Murray has taken to social media after his ‘legacy’ tennis centre plan in Scotland was scrapped.
Murray says tennis Twitter is ‘absolute carnage’ at this moment in time, with the Scot keeping entertained with the latest goings on in the sport after his retirement.
The three-time Grand Slam champion retired from tennis after his Olympics exit, with Murray turning to golf after tennis.
But Murray planned to stay heavily involved with the latter through a tennis centre near his hometown of Dunblane.
Those plans have sadly now been scrapped over planning issues and rising costs, as reported by BBC News.

The £20million community multi-sport project had been led by Judy Murray, with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) having pledged £5million.
But opposition has arisen from campaigners who said the facility at Park of Keir should not be built on green belt land.
Andy has unsurprisingly been left devastated by the decision, with Murray writing on X: “What a surprise.”

Judy’s charity, the Murray Play Foundation, will now consider other initiatives to provide further opportunities for sport in the area.
The proposed facility would have included tennis, padel and pickleball courts, but sadly now won’t come to fruition.
It will come as a blow to Andy and indeed his family, who have given their utmost to tennis for several years.
Murray will go down in history as one of the greatest players the sport has ever seen, with the Scot having won 46 titles.
The former world number one clinched Wimbledon twice and the US Open once, along with two Olympic gold medals.
Both Billie Jean King and Chris Evert backed his ‘legacy’ plan, but that plan has unfortunately now been abandoned.
