Andy Murray has continued his dream Olympic run alongside Dan Evans, with the pair now into the quarter-finals.
The British duo beat Japanese men’s doubles team Kei Nishikori and Taro Daniel in round one, with the match going all the way.
That has now been followed by another lengthy victory, this time against Belgium’s Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen.
The experienced Britons used all of their energy to secure an epic 6-3, 6-7(8-10), 11-9 win on the clay courts in Paris.
Both Murray and Evans had been struggling with injury before the event got underway, but have now reached the last eight of the Olympics.

Andy Murray predicts how far he and Dan Evans can go in the Olympics
The former was hugely emotional after the latest win, with Murray sobbing in his seat after his wild celebrations with Evans.
It remains to be seen how long they can continue this remarkable run, but the Scot has now offered a prediction as to how far they can go in the French capital.
“The way the scoring system is, and the way the teams play now, the margins are just so fine that anything can happen really,” said Murray, as quoted by BBC Sport.
“But we’ve definitely got a chance of getting through to the semis.”
Can Andy Murray and Dav Evans win Olympic gold?
Murray was denied a dream Wimbledon singles run, with injury preventing the 37-year-old from competing at the event.
He did manage to play alongside his brother Jamie at the All England Club, with the Murray partnership delighting their mother Judy.
The Olympic crowd were the ones delighted this time around, with fans shouting ‘Andy, Andy!’ after the second round win.
It may take some time to recover from the latest win given the dramatic circumstances, but Murray and Evans really don’t have much time at all to sit and ponder the result.
A push all the way to the final is now on the cards for the British pair, but they will undoubtedly be taking it one game at a time.
