Novak Djokovic has employed several former stars in his coaching team over the years, with Andy Murray the latest.
Murray won’t coach Djokovic at the Brisbane International, but the Scot will guide the Serbian at the 2025 Australian Open.
His appointment comes after those of fellow former world number ones Andre Agassi and Boris Becker over the years.
Murray named Djokovic his most difficult opponent back in 2006, with the Scot having lost five Grand Slam finals to the Serbian, winning two.
He did manage to beat him in two other Grand Slam finals, before Murray then beat Milos Raonic for this third and final major title.

Murray will now be looking to emulate the success enjoyed by the likes of Becker and Djokovic, with Andrea Petkovic now sharing insight into that successful relationship.
Discussing if she will ever become a coach, Petkovic said on The Rennae Stubbs Tennis Podcast: “I don’t think so.
“I mean I am not going to say no in maybe a few years but I also kind of retired to not have to travel around the tennis schedule.

“The thing is, and I talked to Boris Becker about this when he started coaching Novak, he said five years before he couldn’t have done it as he needed to let go of a certain type of ego which helped you as a tennis player. We all know Boris had a huge ego as a tennis player.
“He said five years earlier if Novak asked him he would have done it but he would never have been good because he had the ego of a tennis player.
“Then when he did start with Novak he was much wiser, more mature, he didn’t need the accolades of a tennis player any more to do this in a different way.”
What did Novak Djokovic achieve with Boris Becker?
As player-coaching teams go, Djokovic and Becker are right up there among the very best, with the pair linking up from the end of 2013 to 2016.
The Serbian won six Grand Slam titles under the German in that period, along with an elusive first French Open.
Djokovic also emerged victorious at 14 ATP Masters 1,000 tournaments, as well as finishing number one twice.
Murray can only dream of such success for his coaching venture with Djokovic, although it remains to be seen exactly how long they will be working together.
