Amanda Anisimova has reached another Grand Slam semifinal after exacting revenge over Iga Swiatek at the US Open.
Anisimova has really impressed Andy Roddick with her US Open run, which now continues against Naomi Osaka.
The American takes on the four-time Grand Slam champion for a spot in the final in New York, having just beaten Swiatek 6-4, 6-3.
That win comes after the former WTA number one demolished Anisimova at Wimbledon earlier this year, winning their final 6-0, 6-0.
Swiatek secured the victory at the All England Club in under an hour, leaving the runner-up very emotional on court.

But she has just bounced back from that defeat in superb fashion, after which she took to social media to celebrate.

Tennis fans praise one part of Amanda Anisimova’s game after Iga Swiatek revenge
Anisimova reached her maiden Grand Slam final in London in July, in stark contrast to Swiatek, who clinched her sixth Grand Slam title with the win.
But she’s now recovered to enjoy her best-ever run at the US Open, with many tennis fans highlighting her mental strength following the revenge over Swiatek.
One wrote on X: “Beautiful redemption arc,” with another commenting: “It takes character to come back like that, congrats Anisimova.”
Another fan agreed: “What Amanda Anisimova just did is one of the most impressive mental performances I’ve seen.
“Getting double-bageled in a Wimbledon final is a literal nightmare for any tennis player. To come back just a few weeks later and beat that same player on Ashe Stadium is unbelievable.”
And further praise for the American arrived from another fan, who said: “Amanda Anisimova is a profile in strength, courage, and mental fortitude.
“From a double bagel in the Wimbledon final to beating the same player two months later in a Grand Slam quarterfinal. Everything sports are supposed to be about.”
The home favorite will certainly need such mental strength to make it past her next opponent at Flushing Meadows.
Worryingly for Anisimova, Osaka has gone on to win the title every time she has reached the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam.
