We take a break from the ATP Tour events this week as we turn our attention to the Six Kings Slam, where some of the best tennis players in the world will compete for a massive prize.

There’s not long to go this season, and Carlos Alcaraz leads the way in the ATP leaderboard. Now, he will have a chance to add another title to his trophy cabinet.

Alcaraz has put injury scares behind him to play in Riyadh, but he will need to be at his best to overcome long-term rival and current holder, Jannik Sinner.

Meanwhile, there will be four other top players waiting to spoil the party. So, here’s a look at who’s involved in the Six Kings Slam, how you can watch along, and what’s at stake.

Player list for Six Kings Slam 2025

As the name of the tournament suggests, there are just six men’s players taking part in the Six Kings Slam 2025.

Last year’s winner Jannik Sinner and runner-up Carlos Alcaraz are in. As are tennis legend Novak Djokovic, US ace Taylor Fritz, German Alexander Zverev, and Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Fritz has been praised for improving his game when it comes to speed and agility. He’s even been tipped to be capable of toppling Sinner and Alcaraz now.

Djokovic is in a strong position in the Race to Turin, and will be keen to regain some momentum after his shock defeat to Valentin Vacherot in Shanghai. There may be no points on offer this week, but pride and rhythm are just as important at this time of year.

Match schedule

The quarter-finals will see Alexander Zverev take on Taylor Fritz, while Jannik Sinner faces Stefanos Tsitsipas. Those matches are to be played on Wednesday, October 15.

Carlos Alcaraz gets a bye, and will wait to play the winner of the Zverev vs Fritz match. The same pass applies to Djokovic, who will take on Sinner or Tsitsipas on Thursday, October 16.

MatchWhoDate
Quarter-final 1Zverev vs FritzOctober 15
Quarter-final 2Sinner vs TsitsipasOctober 15
Semi-final 1Alcaraz vs Winner of QF1October 16
Semi-final 2Djokovic vs Winner of QF2October 16
FinalWinner of SF1 vs Winner of SF2October 18

After a day off for everyone, the final will take place on Saturday, October 18. Given the way the schedule is taking shape, there’s every chance we could see a repeat of last year’s final again if Alcaraz and Sinner play their best tennis.

Prize money

There is a truly incredible prize fund on offer for the Six Kings Slam this year. In fact, every player who participates gets a guaranteed $1.5 million just for taking part.

The winner of the tournament will net another £4.5 million for emerging victorious.

Prize DistributionAmount (USD)
Participation Fee$1,500,000
Winner’s Bonus$4,500,000
Winner Total$6,000,000
Total Prize Pool$13,500,000

There will be no extra prize money for making it through each round, given the fact everyone gets a share of the $13.5 million pot anyway.

Six Kings Slam 2025 predictions

The team at The Tennis Gazette offer up their predictions for who will win at Six Kings Slam 2025.

Peter Lynch: Jannik Sinner takes this one for me! He should be over his Shanghai cramp issue by now and will have all the confidence from winning this event last year.

Matthew Johns: I’ve got Carlos Alcaraz taking the title this year. He will have had over a week away from the match court, and also has an advantage over Jannik Sinner with a bye. Plus the winner’s prize money of $6million will be a huge incentive to him.

Cameron Greenlees: I’m going with Taylor Fritz. Despite his early exit at the Shanghai Masters, the American has been in fine form post-US Open, and, as we have seen at the Laver Cup, he is not one to just roll over at non-tour-level events.

Lee Clarke: When it comes to any exhibition, let’s just shake hands and give it to Carlos Alcaraz right now. He plays like he’s relaxed anyway but in exhibition format he could be unstoppable at this year’s Six Kings Slam.
