American men are enduring a lengthy Grand Slam drought, having regrettably last won such a title back in 2003.

There has been no such failure on the women’s side, with Madison Keys and Coco Gauff among the Grand Slam champions in 2025.

Fortunately, the future of American tennis looks very bright indeed, with three youngsters in particular potentially set for big 2026 seasons.

Learner Tien will have gained a huge confidence boost at the end of his 2025 season, having gone all the way at the Next Gen ATP Finals.

He lost in the final of the 2024 event to Joao Fonseca, but Tien won the 2025 Next Gen ATP Finals title with a comfortable final win over Alexander Blockx.

The 20-year-old has already impressed on the ATP Tour, for example when he knocked Daniil Medvedev out of the Australian Open, but he’ll be eager for even bigger heroics this year.

She lifted the trophy in Guadalajara, and has managed to climb as high as 33rd in the world rankings, although the teenager has since dropped two places to 35th.

Jovic is definitely a player to watch in the 2026 season, and one that many others will want to avoid on the court.

Coco Gauff

It’s easy to forget how young Coco Gauff still is given her early start and her fantastic career achievements so far.

Gauff really impressed Roger Federer from the outset, and the American quickly lived up to the noise and overall hype surrounding her.

Still only 21, Gauff is a two-time Grand Slam champion and 11-time WTA Tour winner, with more success very much on the cards in 2026, especially if she can fix her serving struggles.
