Tennis Gazette readers have a clear favorite when it comes to WTA superstars Alexandra Eala and Emma Raducanu.
Eala and Raducanu represent two of the most high-profile WTA players, with both having just taken on Indian Wells.
Raducanu lost to Amanda Anisimova in the round of 32, while Eala was beaten by Linda Noskova in the round of 16 in California.
However, before their appearances at Tennis Paradise, Tennis Gazette readers were asked to choose their favorite player between the duo on TalkingPoints.
Who is your favorite player – Emma Raducanu or Alexandra Eala?
Let us know why in the comments!
Tennis Gazette readers prefer Alexandra Eala over Emma Raducanu
The poll between Eala and Raducanu has generated almost 400 votes, and Filipina ace Eala has dominated the debate.
The hugely popular Eala received over 89% of the vote, with her WTA rival Raducanu falling short of 11% of the vote.
The 23-year-old Briton certainly boasts a big following, helped by Raducanu winning the US Open back in 2021, aged just 18.
It remarkably represents her only career title to date, while the 20-year-old Filipina has yet to clinch success on the WTA Tour.
Unfortunately for Tennis Gazette readers and tennis fans everywhere, the pair have yet to come face to face on the court, but fireworks can certainly be expected when they do.

Alexandra Eala vs Emma Raducanu career stats
Both Eala and Raducanu were perhaps eyeing lengthier stays at Indian Wells, although that was always going to be a big ask.
The former was making her debut at the WTA 1000 tournament, and can hold her head high after overcoming Coco Gauff and Dayana Yastremska.
The latter meanwhile was drawn against a hugely tough opponent in Anisimova, who was also playing with home support behind her.
It was a very similar story for both in doubles, with Eala losing her opener with Iva Jovic to experienced duo Jelena Ostapenko and Hailey Baptiste.
And playing with Elena-Gabriela Ruse, Raducanu suffered the same fate against doubles specialists Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova.
| Emma Raducanu | Alexandra Eala | |
| 23 | Age | 20 |
| 24 | Rank | 32 |
| 10 | Career-high rank | 31 |
| 1 | Titles | 0 |
| 153 / 90 | Win/loss | 204 / 123 |
| $6,274,797 | Prize money | $1,655,677 |
Still, the future is exciting for both players, although improvements will need to be made if they are to really challenge the biggest stars in women’s tennis.
Eala should look to improve her serve, while Raducanu definitely needs to find consistency and arguably a long-term coach that she enjoys working with.
Staying injury-free will also be key to success for the young duo, particularly in the case of the British number one, who has endured several unfortunate issues over the years.
