Taylor Fritz is undoubtedly one of the best servers on the ATP Tour, as he has proven in a huge way in the early stages of 2026.

Fritz is without a title this season, where he has taken on the Australian Open, Dallas Open and Delray Beach Open.

He fell in the fourth round of the Grand Slam, but followed that up by reaching the Dallas final, which he lost to Ben Shelton.

Fritz then lost in the Delray Beach quarterfinals, but his superb serving efforts perhaps suggest a maiden ATP title of 2026 isn’t too far away.

Taylor Fritz comfortably leads the way for ATP aces in 2026

From his 15 matches played on the ATP Tour this season, the American has fired down a huge total of 254 aces.

The number puts him at the very top of the pile by some distance, with Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard second with 174.

Jakub Mensik is in third place with a total of 171, while Fritz’s compatriots Shelton and Reilly Opelka complete the top five with tallies of 163 and 162 respectively.

Indeed, Americans dominate the upper end of the leaderboard, which is certainly a positive sign heading into Indian Wells and the Miami Open.

Of course, a formidable serve doesn’t always equate to huge success, but it definitely is a great asset to have.

Fritz does, however, have a long way to go to catch the all-time greats when it comes to aces, with John Isner and Ivo Karlovic considered to have the greatest serves of all time.

But he’s certainly going about things the right way, having ranked first for ATP aces in the 2025 season with 867.

Taylor Fritz behind only Jannik Sinner in serve leaders

Also still chasing his first title of the season, Jannik Sinner has endured a slow start to 2026, but he leads the way for serving on the ATP Tour over 52 weeks.

However, Fritz is right behind him, while the American even tops the pile when it comes to % first serve points won.

The American is also a top 10 player when it comes to playing under pressure, another central aspect of success.

But massively letting him down right now is his return game, for which Fritz is currently ranked all the way down in 63rd.

Why Taylor Fritz is under the most pressure at Indian Wells

His focus now turns to Indian Wells, where world number seven Fritz enters as the highest-ranked American player.

He also represents the last American man to win the tournament, which he did in 2022, placing him under further pressure to perform.

American tennis fans have constantly been denied a male Grand Slam champion recently, instead seeing success at lower-level tournaments.

They will now be desperate for a home winner at the ATP Masters 1000 event, with many hopes placed on the shoulders of Fritz.

Intensifying the pressure, he is playing in his hometown tournament, but intriguingly Fritz has been backed to win Indian Wells.

Whether he thrives or capitulates under that pressure remains to be seen as he chases an 11th career title.
