The 2025 Wimbledon tournament is just a few short weeks away as the stars of the WTA Tour ramp up their grass-court preparations.

As we cross the halfway stage of the 2025 Grand Slam season, it’s hard to remember everything that happened at the Australian Open and French Open.

In Melbourne, Madison Keys shocked the world, beating the world’s top two players, Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka, en route to her maiden Grand Slam title.

Then at the French Open, fans saw Lois Boisson storm through to the semi-finals as a Wild Card, taking down the likes of Jessica Pegula and Mirra Andreeva in front of her adoring home fans on Court Philippe Chatrier.

There were plenty of other big storylines to come out of the first two Grand Slams of the year, and there may well be another when the tennis circus travels to London for Wimbledon later this month.

Hannah Klugman: The 16-year-old star making her debut at Wimbledon with Grand Slam dreams

Two weeks before the tournament begins, Wimbledon has revealed the eight players who will receive Wild Cards into the main draw.

Speaking two years ago after winning the prestigious ‘Orange Bowl’ junior tournament in Florida, the Brit outlined her goals in tennis.

“I don’t want to just win Wimbledon, I want to win as many Grand Slams as I can and be number one in the world,” she said.

The 16-year-old may well take inspiration from other winners of the Orange Bowl, many of whom have become Grand Slam winners in recent years.

The youngster has also been inspired by her fellow Brit, Emma Raducanu, whom she messaged following her US Open win in 2021.

“I told her, well done, and what an inspiration she is for me,” said Klugman.

What happened when Hannah Klugman made her WTA main draw debut recently?

Following her impressive run in Paris, Klugman was awarded a Wild Card into the main draw of the Nottingham Open WTA 250 event.

She was handed a tough test in round one, taking on the number four seed Yulia Putintseva, a WTA Tour veteran.

Falling to a convincing defeat, Klugman was beaten by the Kazakh star in straight sets, 2-6, 2-6.

It was the teenager’s serve that let her down against Putintseva, making five double faults in their first-round clash.
