Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner renewed their rivalry at the US Open, treating fans to another thrilling encounter.
The duo have now met 15 times on the ATP Tour, with Alcaraz getting the better of his rival on 10 occasions.
He won their latest clash in the final of the US Open, where the Spaniard defeated the Italian 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 to lift the prestigious trophy.
Alcaraz lost two championship points en route to his victory, in which he overcame the defending champion and top seed.
He claimed his sixth Grand Slam title with the win, but has also overtaken Sinner at the top of the ATP rankings.

Moreover, a huge sum of $5million went the way of Alcaraz, helping him become only the seventh player in ATP and WTA history to surpass $50million in career prize money.
His figure, which now sits at $53,486,628 following his US Open title, also means he is the first player born in the 2000s to go beyond $50million.

Sinner meanwhile isn’t far behind his ATP rival in that regard, with the Italian having earned a total of $48,779,987.

Carlos Alcaraz joins exclusive prize money list after US Open title win
Alcaraz does seem to be in tennis for the trophies rather than the money, but he certainly won’t say no to such a huge financial reward.
And he is now part of an exclusive list with the success in New York, joining a handful of iconic figures with more than $50million in prize money.
There’s simply no telling just how far Alcaraz can rise in that list, having already won 23 ATP titles at the age of 22.
He does, however, need to stay grounded despite his stunning success, which shouldn’t prove to be a problem.
