Very few ATP players can say they have a winning record against Jannik Sinner.
Sinner won two Grand Slam titles in 2025, and only lost six matches in the entire calendar year.
Four of those losses were from Carlos Alcaraz, while Alexander Bublik and Tallon Griekspoor also beat Sinner in 2025.
Sinner is a four-time Grand Slam champion at just 24 years old, but an ATP player who has never won a single match at a major tournament beat him in their only tour-level match.

Tristan Lamasine: Won his only ATP Tour level meeting with Jannik Sinner
Sinner won his first ATP Tour match at the Hungarian Open in 2019, when he was just 17 years of age.
After making his debut at the Italian Open, Sinner would then play qualifying at the ATP 250 tournament in Lyon.

Sinner would beat French players Antoine Hoang and Tristan Lamasine to qualify and make his third main draw appearance on the ATP Tour.
The Italian was supposed to play Mikhail Kukushkin in the first round of the main draw, but Sinner’s opponent changed after the Kazakhstani withdrew.
Kukushkin was replaced by the same player who Sinner beat in qualifying, Lamasine, as they were set for a rematch on the clay of Lyon.
This was a third career meeting between Sinner and Lamasine, with the former winning their two previous matches on the ATP Challenger Tour and in qualifying for the tournament in Lyon.
However, in their first match on the main ATP Tour, lucky loser Lamasine beat Sinner, 6-0 7-6(5), to get his first win over the teenager.
As a result, this gave Lamasine the first and only win over Sinner in their ATP head-to-head.
Sinner would beat Lamasine in the only time they have played since, but as it was on the Challenger Tour it does not count towards their official head-to-head.
What is your boldest tennis prediction for 2026?
What has happened to Tristan Lamasine since 2019?
What makes Lamasine’s victory over Sinner even more remarkable is the different trajectories their careers have gone on since then.
Lamasine was 26 years old at the time of playing Sinner and had never won a Grand Slam main draw match, and that has not changed since.
The best performance at a major tournament for Lamasine came at Wimbledon in 2016, when he won all three of his qualifying matches before losing to Viktor Troicki in the first round of the main draw.
| Grand Slam | Tristan Lamasine’s Best Result |
| Australian Open | First Qualifying Round (2015, 2016, 2017 & 2020) |
| French Open | Second Qualifying Round (2014, 2015 & 2020) |
| Wimbledon | First Round (2016) |
| US Open | Second Qualifying Round (2015 & 2016) |
Lamasine achieved his career-high ranking of world number 181 in 2015, and he has only won two other matches on the ATP Tour other than his victory over Sinner.
The now 32-year-old is far from that player now, with Lamasine currently ranked outside the top 500 in the world rankings.
Lamasine has won two ITF singles titles this year, but he has not played a match since June.
