Serena Williams will forever be remembered as one of the all-time greats, having enjoyed a simply stunning career on the court.

Williams thinks Roger Federer is the best men’s player of all time, with the Swiss icon having just been inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

The American star hasn’t been eligible for the honor just yet, but Williams is certain to be inducted when that time comes.

The former world number one boasts a stunning 96 WTA singles and doubles titles, with over 1,000 matches won across both formats.

When Serena Williams lost on her WTA Tour debut to Kimberly Po

Williams lost on her career debut, when the 14-year-old was beaten by Annie Miller in a qualifying match at the 1995 Bell Challenge.

And she suffered a similar fate on her WTA Tour main draw debut, which arrived in Moscow two years later.

Serena Williams picked Roger Federer as the G.O.A.T.

The guy is a genius. I just feel like he is really the greatest player.

Playing in the tournament as a qualifier, Williams was drawn to play Kimberly Po in the first round of the 1997 Kremlin Cup.

And it was Po who emerged victorious 6-3, 7-6, although Williams exacted revenge with a 6-1, 6-0 win in the first round of the 1999 US Open.

Williams went on to lift the US Open trophy on home soil in 1999 after her second and only other career meeting with Po.

It represents one of her 23 Grand Slam singles titles, with the iconic figure also winning 14 in doubles and two in mixed doubles.

Po also enjoyed fantastic success in that regard, winning the mixed doubles title at Wimbledon in 2000 alongside Donald Johnson.
