Novak Djokovic has made his 14th semi-final at Wimbledon, in his ongoing pursuit of a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam title.
After dropping the first set for the second consecutive match at the championships, Djokovic ultimately defeated Flavio Cobolli to advance to the final four.
The Serb had a near scare towards the end of his quarter-final clash with Cobolli, suffering a nasty slip on match point, but confirmed afterwards he was ok.
Now, Djokovic will face world number one Jannik Sinner for the 10th time in his career, with a place in the Wimbledon final up for grabs.
He last faced the Italian at the All England Club in 2023, when the two stars met in the semi-final of the tournament.

Sinner reached his first Grand Slam semi-final in 2023, after tearing through his quarter of the draw in SW19.
His opponent was the defending champion, who was looking to become the third man in the Open Era to win five Wimbledon crowns in a row.
The two had faced off just twice prior to the match, with Djokovic coming out on top on both occasions.
One of those matches was the quarter-finals of Wimbledon the previous year, where Sinner was two sets up against him, but lost in five.

In their 2023 bout, however, things were slightly more one-sided, as the then-world number two put on an incredible display against the eighth seed.
Djokovic won 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 against Sinner, a statement victory in which he didn’t concede a break of serve.

After his match with Djokovic in 2023, when asked what he needed to do to improve, Sinner answered: “I’m trying to play in these situations more often.
“I knew before the match already that it’s a tough match today, but that’s why I practice for. I felt like I was ready. I went with the right mentality on the court. I had a belief to win this match.
“I am not afraid to play these kind of matches, no? First semifinal is never easy to play. I felt like, as I said before, my level was good.
“I was just, especially in the pressure points, I messed it up a little bit. But it’s trying to take out the positives and looking forward.
Since then, Sinner has won three Grand Slam titles, clinching two Australian Open titles and a US Open championship.
