Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner dominated the 2024 ATP Tour season, and could very well do the same in 2025.
Sinner is one of nine Italians in the top 100, with the world number one securing the Australian Open and US Open titles.
Alcaraz meanwhile won the French Open and Wimbledon, although could only finish third in the ATP rankings behind Alexander Zverev.
But Alcaraz needs consistency in 2025 to get back up the rankings, having suffered too many disappointing defeats amid his stunning triumphs.
He suffered a shock US Open second round defeat, as well as failing to make it out of the groups at the ATP Finals.

Jack Draper is most improved player on ATP Tour in 2024
Another shock Alcaraz loss in 2024 came at the hands of Jack Draper, with the British number one defeating the defending champion in the second round of Queen’s in June.
And that was just one of Draper’s stunning achievements this season, with the 22-year-old winning his first two ATP Tour-level titles.

He beat Matteo Berrettini and Karen Khachanov in Stuttgart and Vienna respectively, and finished the season with a 39-22 record.
It all helped Draper rise from 61st spot in the ATP rankings at the start of the year to 15th at the end, with the Briton arguably the most improved player in 2024.

US Open finalist Taylor Fritz joins Jack Draper with 2024 improvement
While Draper flew the flag for British tennis, Ben Shelton says American tennis is improving, and he is certainly right.
Shelton played a key role in that rise, but it was Taylor Fritz who led the way, with the 27-year-old enjoying a phenomenal season on the court.

Fritz ended 2024 fourth in the ATP Tour rankings, with the American reaching the last two of the US Open and the ATP Finals.
He also won two tour-level titles to take his career total to eight, with Fritz undoubtedly ending his season among the most improved players.
| 2024 | Career | |

| Win-loss | 39-22 | 79-51 |

And he can be joined by the likes of Tomas Machac and Alejandro Tabilo, who rose 53 and 62 places respectively from the start to the end of 2024.
Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard was another to have really grown over the last 12 months, along with Draper’s fellow Briton Jacob Fearnley.
