Roland Garros is rapidly approaching, and many eyes are on Novak Djokovic as his search for a 25th Grand Slam title continues.
Tim Henman thinks Djokovic will struggle to win Roland Garros, where he has already triumphed three times in his glittering career.
But the ATP veteran has lost his only match on clay this season at the Italian Open, while he turns 39 later this month.
Still, Djokovic can simply never be ruled out of contention at any tournament, while his latest decision should boost his chances of going all the way at Roland Garros.
How concerned are you about Novak Djokovic heading into Roland Garros?
Novak Djokovic makes smart decision to hire Viktor Troicki
Just before the Grand Slam gets underway, Djokovic has appointed longtime friend and fellow Serbian Viktor Troicki to his coaching team.
It is, of course, not the first former player that he has turned to in recent times, with the legendary figure having hired his fellow icon Andy Murray for six months before their split this time last year.
But this appointment is different, with Djokovic and Troicki having known one another since they were juniors.
Moreover, they have also featured in doubles together, while both played key roles as Serbia won the 2010 Davis Cup.
Their chemistry should work wonders on and off the court, while it may just be the final piece of the puzzle that Djokovic needs to get over the line.
He came agonizingly close to claiming an elusive 25th Grand Slam title in Melbourne this year, losing the Australian Open final to Carlos Alcaraz.
But a fresh perspective could make all the difference, with Djokovic clearly able to rely on and trust his compatriot, who is also the Serbia Davis Cup captain.
Can any of these four players stop Jannik Sinner winning the French Open this year?
Is there anyone else you think could be a threat to Sinner?
Novak Djokovic messages new coach Viktor Troicki
Djokovic has been very busy in Paris since arriving for Roland Garros, which he won in 2016, 2021 and 2023.
That includes welcoming his former rival to his team, with the 24-time Grand Slam winner posting on his Instagram: “Welcome my friend, teammate and now coach… Viktor Troicki.”
Elsewhere, Djokovic has conducted practice sessions with fellow players Alexander Zverev and Marin Cilic, with Daniil Medvedev next on the list.
He has also spent time catching up with French icon Gael Monfils, who is playing his final Roland Garros as a wildcard before his retirement from tennis.
