Many ATP Tour stars are continuing to build momentum towards the Australian Open, which returns imminently.
The United Cup offered perfect singles and doubles preparation for many players, while others took on the Brisbane International and the Hong Kong Open.
The Adelaide International and ASB Classic will now provide several ATP stars with one final chance to prepare for the all-important Australian Open.
But already receiving a massive boost before the Grand Slam is Lorenzo Musetti, who has just broken the ATP top five for the first time in his career.

ATP Tour should make ranking points change as Lorenzo Musetti breaks top five
Musetti made it all the way to the final in Hong Kong, but lost out to Alexander Bublik, who has incidentally broken the top 10.
The Kazakhstan ace has risen one spot in the world rankings, while Musetti has climbed two spots to fifth place despite the defeat.
The significant move also comes despite Musetti last winning an ATP title all the way back in 2022, when he triumphed in Naples.
The Italian also won in Hamburg that year, but now holds a nightmare 2-7 record in finals, losing his last seven.
Such a situation arguably throws the ATP rankings into disrepute, with Musetti able to break the top five despite his lack of success in recent times.
For example, he has just swapped places with Felix Auger-Aliassime in the rankings, with the Canadian having claimed three titles in 2025.
And his latest opponent, world number 10 Bublik, is now a nine-time ATP champion, and holds a 9-7 record in title matches.
Musetti undoubtedly deserves praise for his efforts on the court, but his situation does suggest that a ranking points change would definitely make sense.

With a handful of players still out of action, the ATP top 10 hasn’t experienced a lot of change in the latest rankings update.
Carlos Alcaraz has retained his number one world ranking, with the Spaniard closely followed by Jannik Sinner.
