Ben Shelton lost to Jannik Sinner, again… at the Australian Open.
The American came up short in the Australian Open quarterfinals, but won’t want to dwell on the defeat for long.
He’s scheduled to return to action at the Dallas Open in Texas and wants to play singles and doubles.
Unfortunately for Shelton, he’s had no luck finding a doubles partner so far.

Looking for a teammate, Shelton shared the following message on his Instagram story.
“I need a partner to play doubles with at the Dallas Open next week,” he said.
“Hit my line!”

Shelton’s fellow American, Ethan Quinn, would be a great doubles partner.
The 21-year-old has made a fantastic start to his 2026 campaign, reaching the third round of the Australian Open, and is set to make his Davis Cup debut over the weekend.

Furthermore, Quinn gained doubles experience while competing for the University of Georgia.

Losing a game of ‘credit card roulette’, Quinn had to pay for Shelton, Fritz, and everyone else’s food.

Ethan Quinn gave Carlos Alcaraz a ‘really difficult match’ in 2025
That’s not to say Shelton would be doing Quinn a favor, though, as the 21-year-old is one of the top prospects in men’s tennis.
He even impressed world number one Carlos Alcaraz at the 2025 Barcelona Open.
The American advanced through qualifying to meet Alcaraz in the first round.
Despite losing in straight sets 2-6, 6-7, Quinn gave a good account of himself against the then-four-time Grand Slam champion.
“It was a really difficult match for me,” said Alcaraz during his post-match interview.
“I’m just really happy to be able to win in straight sets, physically it’s important to save a bit of energy for the next matches.”
Quinn put that experience to good use, as he continued his rise up the rankings.
He’s now the world number 68.

He’ll be hoping to make his top-50 debut later this year, and could do his chances a world of good by making a deep run in Dallas.
