Iga Swiatek is the Wimbledon champion for the first time in her career and has now won a Grand Slam on all three surfaces.

Following Swiatek’s dominant victory over Amanda Anisimova in the final at the All England Club, the Pole became just the eighth woman in the Open Era to win a major on clay, grass and hard-court.

At 24 years of age, she is the fifth youngest since 1968 to complete the feat, and the youngest since Serena Williams in 2002.

She has emerged victorious in each of the six Grand Slam finals she has appeared in, and is now the first from her country in history, man or woman, to win in singles at Wimbledon.

It’s an incredible accomplishment for Swiatek, whose major total is now closing in on some legends of the game.

Where Iga Swiatek’s major total now ranks among all-time greats

After clinching a maiden Wimbledon title, Swiatek is now joint-tenth all-time in Grand Slam titles won.

With six to her name, she now has more than both Martina Hingis and Maria Sharapova, and trails greats such as Justine Henin and Venus Williams by just one.

At such a young age, Swiatek still has her whole career ahead of her, with plenty of time to chase down the likes of Steffi Graf, Serena Williams, and Margaret Court, who all have more than 20.

Having finally found success on all three surfaces, the sky is the limit for the Wimbledon champion.

Iga Swiatek could make history with just one more major title

Swiatek is just one title away from achieving a feat that only six women have managed in the Open Era.

Should she secure an Australian Open crown, the world number three will have completed the career Grand Slam by winning each of the four majors.

With four Roland Garros titles, one US Open, and a Wimbledon championship to her name, a triumph in Melbourne is all that Swiatek needs to make history.

The six other players to have managed the career Grand Slam are: Court, Graf, Martina Navratilova, Serena Williams, and Sharapova.
