Wimbledon without Novak Djokovic just wouldn’t feel right and now an update has emerged on the legendary player’s fitness.
SW19 will welcome the game’s greatest players when it gets underway on the first day of July – and Djokovic is fighting against the clock.
The 37-year-old was forced to withdraw from the French Open ahead of a quarter-final clash with Casper Ruud earlier this month.
Now, the Serbian player is facing a race against time to be fit for Wimbledon and a report has delivered a fresh update.

Well, it would appear as though there is good news and bad with regards to the injury sustained by Djokovic.
It’s just under two weeks until Wimbledon gets underway and there are few more days for Djokovic to recover just yet.
Now, a report by Sportal has claimed that Djokovic is recovering well – but suggested that he’s not been able to run just yet.
The player injured his medial knee ligament that stopped his run at Roland Garros and he’s had to manage it carefully.
There is some positive news, however, as Djokovic is expected to start doing some light running in a straight line on Wednesday or Thursday.
Djokovic will be desperate not to miss Wimbledon and the fact he’s going to start running this week can only be a good thing.
Djokovic running out of time to claim Wimbledon greatness
A couple of years ago it looked a certainty that Djokovic would eclipse Federer and stand alone in terms of Wimbledon titles won.
However, after losing to Carlos Alcaraz last year it does feel like time is running out for Djokovic to claim the last two Wimbledon titles.
Injuries haven’t blighted Djokovic during his career but this one to his knee has come at probably the worst time in the year.
The man with 24 Grand Slam titles loves playing at Wimbledon and right now it looks as though he won’t he heading into this year’s tournament at full tilt.
