Emma Raducanu will continue her absence from the WTA Tour after withdrawing from the Linz Open in Austria.
Raducanu had planned to start her clay-court swing at the WTA 500 tournament, which gets underway later this month.
But the British number one has decided to delay that start by withdrawing from the Linz Open as she continues to recover from a viral illness.
Raducanu last played on the WTA Tour at Indian Wells in early March, before withdrawing from the Miami Open.
Currently ranked 28th in the world, the 23-year-old’s next planned tournament has emerged following her latest withdrawal.

Raducanu hopes to begin her clay-court season at the Madrid Open, which returns to the WTA calendar on April 21st.
It represents the first WTA 1000 tournament of the clay-court swing, and is immediately followed by another WTA 1000 event in Rome.
The clay-court swing, which is now underway in Charleston and Bogota, comprises 10 tournaments and concludes with the French Open.
Raducanu will enter her next tournament with 14 matches played this season, from which she has seven wins and seven losses.

British star Raducanu undoubtedly holds one of the most intriguing records in the history of women’s tennis.
The former WTA number 10 has one career title to her name, which famously arrived at the US Open back in 2021.
Since then, injuries and coaching changes have massively disrupted her progress, with both issues already playing a big part in her 2026 season.
Raducanu has been dealing with an unfortunate illness of late, while she parted ways with Francisco Roig earlier this year after just six months working together.

However, hope should remain that she can return to her best level, with a run of full health and a permanent coach likely to be crucial to achieve that.
She has shown great promise in 2026, finishing as runner-up at Cluj-Napoca, her first and only final since that memorable run in New York.
Clay has, however, been her worst surface at Grand Slam level, with Raducanu having failed to make it beyond the second round from her two attempts.
