Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are building legendary careers in professional tennis.
The ‘new two’, ranked first and second in the world currently, are on track to match the Grand Slam tallies of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
Both players are head and shoulders above everyone else on the ATP Tour with points totals north of 10,000 each.

Sinner and Alcaraz have won two majors each for the last two years, and with no sign of a third star emerging soon, they look set to do the same in 2026.
Should they emulate their impressive campaigns from 2024 and 2025 next year, they will have become the first pair in the Open Era to achieve an incredible feat.
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner could make history in 2026
Since the beginning of the Open Era in 1968, there has not been a trio of seasons where all four Grand Slams have been won by the same two players.
It almost happened from 2006 to 2008, when Federer and Nadal were dominating the major scene, but Djokovic spoiled their party by winning the 2008 Australian Open.

Outside of that, however, no two stars have ever come close to doing it.
Eras headlined by John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg, or Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi, always saw at least one different winner at a major every year.
Sinner and Alcaraz now have a great chance to make history after producing an astonishing two years of Grand Slam tennis.
| Year | Australian Open | Roland Garros | Wimbledon | US Open |
| 2025 | Jannik Sinner | Carlos Alcaraz | Jannik Sinner | Carlos Alcaraz |
| 2024 | Jannik Sinner | Carlos Alcaraz | Carlos Alcaraz | Jannik Sinner |
Additionally, both Sinner and Alcaraz will have the chance to complete the Career Grand Slam; a rare feat that just five men in the Open Era have managed.
Djokovic, Federer, Nadal, Agassi, and Rod Laver are the only players who have won each of the four Grand Slam trophies.
Roland Garros is the only title that eludes Sinner, with the 24-year-old coming agonisingly close to winning it this year.
Alcaraz on the other hand, needs the Australian Open to complete the set, having never made it past the quarterfinals in Melbourne.
Why do you think Carlos Alcaraz has struggled at the Australian Open in the past?
The players who have come closest to stopping Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner at majors
Though they ultimately prevailed, Sinner and Alcaraz have been troubled a number of times at majors in 2025 by players other than each other.
Djokovic was the only player who managed to beat one of the two stars at a Grand Slam this season, with the Serb triumphing over Alcaraz at the Australian Open.
Alcaraz was tested once again at Wimbledon in the first round when he was forced to a decisive fifth set with recently retired Fabio Fognini.
Later on in the tournament, Sinner was on the brink of elimination as he found himself two sets down to Grigor Dimitrov.
Dimitrov injured his pectoral muscle, however, and was forced to retire from the match.
