Novak Djokovic has stormed into the round of 16 at Wimbledon after securing his 100th match win at the tournament.
John McEnroe thinks Jannik Sinner studied Djokovic, who is now into the fourth round of Wimbledon for the 17th time.
He eased past fellow Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic in his latest test, with the ATP number six winning 6-3, 6-0, 6-4.
Djokovic needed just one hour and 47 minutes to clinch the victory, which has set up a round of 16 tie with Alex de Minaur.
Veteran Djokovic is focused on major titles, with another at Wimbledon set to represent a tennis record 25th Grand Slam success.

What Andy Roddick ‘can’t be told’ about Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon
And his latest efforts on the court have now caught the eye of former world number one Andy Roddick, who lost three Wimbledon finals to Roger Federer.
He said on Served with Andy Roddick: “Novak is just Novak. He is in this tournament to win it. I can’t be told that he is not going to be in the last four.
“Everything he does well at this point in his career works on grass. Novak hits the ball as well as he has ever hit it, serves as well as he has ever hit it.
“It’s the corners. Getting in and out and getting bullied into the corners [that is difficult]. Listen, his year this year – semis of two slams – is better than most of us Chuckers in our best years.
“But he would tell you, he has said it, he is not as fast as he was and I don’t move out of the corners as fast as I have before.

“I think he still will look very Novak-esque against someone who can’t really bruise him to the corners. He can still control the middle of the court.
“It changes when you get Sinner or [Carlos] Alcaraz on the other side, but I still like him in this tournament.
“I said it during the French Open that I still think he can win this tournament. Will he? We will see. But everything that this version of Novak, which isn’t prime and I’m not going to make it prime, translates better to grass right now.”
Novak Djokovic vs Alex de Minaur head-to-head before Wimbledon clash
Djokovic will indeed very likely have to come up against the two ATP superstars in order to clinch another Wimbledon title.
The legendary figure could meet world number one Sinner in the semi-finals, and two-time defending champion Alcaraz in the final.
Djokovic has at times proven that he can still compete against the duo, although he was on the receiving end of back-to-back SW19 final wins for the Spaniard in 2023 and 2024.
More recently, the Italian knocked him out of the 2025 French Open, winning their semi-final before losing the final to Alcaraz.
He will not, however, be thinking about such duels right now, with Australian De Minaur his current priority.
Defeating the 11th seed would provide Djokovic with a huge confidence boost, which will definitely be useful before facing the likes of Sinner and Alcaraz.
| Year | Winner | Tournament | Round | Surface | Score |
| 2024 | Novak Djokovic | Wimbledon | Quarter-final | Outdoor Grass | W/O |
| 2024 | Novak Djokovic | ATP Masters 1000 Monte-Carlo | Quarter-final | Outdoor Clay | 75 64 |
| 2024 | Alex de Minaur | United Cup | Quarter-final | Outdoor Hard | 64 64 |
| 2023 | Novak Djokovic | Australian Open | Round of 16 | Outdoor Hard | 62 61 62 |
The Serbian has history on his side ahead of his meeting with De Minaur, having won two of their three ATP meetings.
They were indeed meant to meet at the quarter-final stage of Wimbledon last year, but the Australian withdrew beforehand with a hip injury.
