Naomi Osaka certainly made the headlines at Roland Garros, even if she did suffer an early exit in Paris.
The women’s ace was handed the very unfortunate task of taking on world number one Iga Swiatek in just the second round of the French Open.
Having only just returned to sport after having a baby, the odds were very much stacked against Osaka, with tennis fans fearing the worst for her once the draw was made.
But remarkably she almost clinched a victory against the Pole, only for Swiatek to complete a stunning turnaround.
The world number one saved match point in a fantastic clash on the clay, eventually overcoming Osaka 7-6(7-1), 1-6, 7-5.

Video emerges of Naomi Osaka after her French Open exit
Swiatek went on to lift yet another French Open title after that dramatic match, with Osaka leaving Paris early.
But the latter has already shown her ambitions for the near future, with video now emerging of the 26-year-old in full practise mode.
As per The Tennis Letter, Osaka is now practising for the grass season, having not played a match on grass since 2019.
Naomi Osaka predicted to win another Grand Slam very soon
The French Open may have just finished, but Wimbledon is fast approaching, with the sport’s top stars now eyeing the famous trophy.
Osaka boasts four Grand Slam titles in her illustrious career so far, but Wimbledon is not a competition in which she has tasted success.
The same can be said of Roland Garros, with the star winning twice at the US Open and twice at the Australian Open.
She is evidently doing all she can to compete with the very best on grass, but it is clear that she shines brightest on hard courts.
Fortunately the US Open is also not too far away, with Rennae Stubbs already labelling Osaka as the favourite to win the competition later this summer.
She can undoubtedly take confidence from her very first victory at Flushing Meadows back in 2018, where she pulled off a huge upset to defeat legendary figure Serena Williams aged just 20.
