The French Open is now in full swing, with players getting their first-round matches completed, with Victoria Azarenka looking particularly impressive earlier this morning.
The Belarusian performer came up against Yanina Wickmayer and duly served her up a breakfast featuring two bagels on court number six!
Azarenka offered a reminder of her credentials with the Australian Open winner from 2012 and 2013, providing a glimpse of what she is still capable of at 35-years-old.
The best the former world number one has achieved at Roland Garros was a semi-final run back in 2013, and she will be keen to enjoy a strong run this year.
Next up for Azarenka is Sofia Kenin, and that provides her with a strong opportunity to progress to the round of 32 at the French Open.
Her win today was scintillating, and not only that, but in winning 6-0, 6-0, she’s surpassed something that Serena Williams managed to do during her career.

Victoria Azarenka surpasses Serena Williams in one aspect at French Open
Williams is one of the greatest players to have ever played the sport, and she managed to win a total of 23 Grand Slam titles during her career.
Azarenka has now overtaken Williams, however, when it comes to matches won at a Grand Slam by a 6-0, 6-0 score line.
Maria Sharapova and Kim Clijsters both won six matches to that extent during their career on the WTA Tour, with Williams winning by that score on four occasions.
Now, Azarenka has moved on to five games won at majors without losing a game and quite clearly, she’s enjoying tennis again.
As a two-time Grand Slam champion, the experienced performer will have the mentality to want to win the match and she will hope to kick on after this result and progress further.
Azarenka creates history during French Open rout
The records continued to keep coming for Azarenka after her easy victory this morning, with another milestone reached.
Azarenka has become the oldest player in the modern era to win a Grand Slam main draw match 6-0, 6-0, with Venus Williams the oldest previously, winning at Wimbledon in 2015.
It’s great to see Azarenka back playing some quality tennis and it’s always nice when the more experienced players keep competing with some of the younger players on the tour.
How far Azarenka can go remains to be seen but given her performance levels earlier today, very few players will be wanting to face her at Roland Garros.
