With the 145th edition of the US Open set to start on Sunday, August 24, the main draw has just been released. The likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic, and Daniil Medvedev will return to the hard courts in the coming weeks.
Alcaraz is currently ranked world No. 1 and has had a strong hard-court season, entering the tournament as the top seed.
The defending champion and a four-time US Open winner, Djokovic has slipped to world number five but can never be discounted at Flushing Meadows, despite a mixed hard-court swing leading up to the tournament.
Italy have two big hopes in the draw. Sinner has shown good form on hard courts, reaching the Cincinnati Open final, while Lorenzo Musetti will also be aiming for a deep run at the US Open.
At the US Open 2025, the leading men will be focused on navigating their opening matches successfully as they prepare for the more significant challenges to come.
