Tracy Austin knows exactly what it takes to win the biggest titles in tennis.
Austin won two US Open titles in her career, both coming when the American was just a teenager.
The former world number one is now a pundit, with Austin having her say on the French Open this year.
As the second major tournament of the year is now underway, Austin has spoken about the WTA players who have been close to joining her as a Grand Slam champion.

Tracy Austin names the best player who has never won a Grand Slam
The most recent WTA player to win a Grand Slam for the first time is Madison Keys, who lifted the Australian Open title earlier this year.
With Keys no longer an answer to this question, the aforementioned Austin named five different players when speaking on Tennis Channel Live.
When weighing up her actions, Austin suggested that Olympic champion Qinwen Zheng is the player closest to that goal.
“I am going to go with Ons Jabeur is the past, I think she had the most opportunity because she had two finals,” said Austin. “For the future I think [Mirra] Andreeva is going to win a major, it’s not a question of if, it’s when.
“[Karolina] Muchova can sneak through at any time on any surface, that woman is so, so talented. Got to the semi-finals of the US Open and was up a set and a break on Jessica Pegula.
“But if you’re going to make me pick one, I am going for Zheng. She is 22 years old. She has won the Olympics, so she has won a big title. Australian Open she got to the final. [Jessica] Pegula I would put in as 1B, because she got to the finals last year.”
Paul Annacone agrees with Tracy Austin about Ons Jabeur
Roger Federer’s former coach Paul Annacone was also part of this discussion, and agreed with Austin about one player in particular.
Ons Jabeur is that player, with the Tunisian a three-time Grand Slam finalist.

Two of those finals came at Wimbledon, with Annacone still believing that the former world number two will go one better at some point in the future.
“I would lean towards Ons, just because you think of what she has done and the position she has put herself in, particularly at Wimbledon where I think she is unbelievably good,” said Annacone. “You think she is going to get one there.”
Jabeur has suffered many injury woes in recent years, and is now down at world number 36 in the WTA rankings.
