Carlos Alcaraz had no problem moving on after parting ways with his longtime coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero.
In a shocking move during the off-season, Alcaraz split with Ferrero, ending a seven-year player-coach relationship.
The now-seven-time Grand Slam champion was incredibly successful under the wing of his compatriot and mentor, having secured six major crowns with him.

Despite concerns that the split would derail Alcaraz‘s career, he has since produced an incredible campaign Down Under to win the Australian Open for the first time and complete the Career Grand Slam.
Ferrero is now available, and former US Open finalist Greg Rusedski thinks there are certain players on the tour currently who should strongly consider hiring him.

Speaking in an episode of ‘Off Court with Greg‘, “If I am one of those people in the top 10 and I see Juan Carlos Ferrero available, I am saying what do you want?
“I need to find a way to beat Sinner and Alcaraz. Come and join my team. If I am from three until 10 in the world, I would be on the phone right now saying okay.
“I need to know how to beat Carlos and Jannik because you have done it. That is what I would say.
“He [Alcaraz] has moved on, he has moved forward. This is his new team. He is not going to add a super coach, is my view.”
Alexander Zverev should consider hiring Juan Carlos Ferrero
Perhaps the top ten player that needs Ferrero in his corner the most is world number four Alexander Zverev.
Zverev came agonisingly close to reaching the Australian Open final by taking Alcaraz to five sets in the semifinals and serving for the match.
It was not to be, however, with Ferrero’s former protege fighting back to advance to a maiden final at Melbourne Park.

The German is still in pursuit of his first Grand Slam title, and with Ferrero by his side, he could finally get over the line.
Ferrero would be able to help Zverev figure out Alcaraz, having spent so long with the 22-year-old to know what works against him.
Other stars who could benefit from the appointment include Felix Auger-Aliassime, Ben Shelton, and Jack Draper.
